UKPPC Terms and Conditions

General

  • The UKPPC will not be liable to any competitor, judge or performer for any loss or expense whether direct or indirect suffered by the competitor resulting from a breach of UKPPC terms and conditions.
  • In the event of a breach of contract by the UKPPC the remedies of the competitor shall be limited to damages not exceeding the price of the application fee.
  • The UKPPC may license or sub-contract all or any part of its rights and obligations without the competitor’s consent.
  • The failure by the UKPPC to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be treated as a waiver of that provision, nor shall it affect the UKPPC’s right to subsequently enforce that provision.
  • The law governing all contracts with UKPPC is the Law of England. In the case of any dispute, the Courts of England have exclusive Jurisdiction.
  • If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be invalid, void, illegal or unenforceable the validity, existence, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected, prejudiced or impaired.
  • The UKPPC are committed to the highest standards of health and safety at all stages of the competition. Part of our commitment to health and safety will be to ensure that all equipment (namely, but not limited to, the poles) is used to manufacturers guidelines.
  • UKPPC will be using a removable dance pole for the duration of the competition and cannot be responsible for any damage to property, injury to persons or third parties during the use of this product.
  • Any issues not already addressed within this document and associated UKPPC material will be made by the UKPPC in due course.
  • The UKPPC will not be liable for any expenses incurred by the competitor’s, judges, sponsors or performers participation in the competition and event.

Competitors

  • All applicants must be over 16
  • All applicants must be a UK resident or citizen
  • We have a zero tolerance policy for any discriminatory behaviour. Any discriminatory or negative behaviour conducted by any person involved in the competition, either online or in person, will result in disqualification and/or removal from the event.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • The UKPPC is not liable for any injury or damage sustained by any applicant/competitor during any stage of the competition.
  • Competitors are recommended to ensure that they have their own insurance in place to cover personal injury. We recommend contacting Balens.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to prevent a competitor from performing if they are judged to not be physically fit, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to disqualify any competitor who breaches the rules and regulations of the competition.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to disqualify a competitor if it is found that the competitor does not meet the criteria for the original category entered.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to stop a competitor’s performance at any time due to safety concerns or a breach of the rules and regulations.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to make modifications to the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of the competition.
  • Competitors will be given advance notice in writing of any changes. Changes will take effect from the date of notification.
  • Any failure to comply with the rules and regulations may result in disqualification.
  • The winners of each category will hold the following titles:
    • The UKPPC Performer Pole Dance Champion
    • The UKPPC Instructor Pole Dance Champion
    • The UKPPC Professional Pole Dance Champion
    • The UKPPC Elite Pole Dance Champion
  • Titles will be held until the completion of the subsequent UKPPC final event.
  • The UKPPC reserve the right to pursue damages should the title be used in any manner deemed to be damaging to the UKPPC.

Judges: including the application process and the final

  • All applicants must be over 18
  • All applicants must be a UK resident or citizen
  • All applicants must be pole dancers with a wide range of knowledge on pole dance techniques and performance criteria. You can see the full judging criteria and scoring system to see what we are looking for.
  • We can only accept applications from those who are eligible via the above criteria
  • All applications are assessed anonymously to reduce bias
  • We have a zero tolerance policy for any discriminatory behaviour. Any discriminatory or negative behaviour conducted by any person involved in the competition, either online or in person, will result in disqualification and/or removal from the event.
  • The UKPPC reserves the right to ask any judge to step down from their position if they breach the rules and regulations of the competition
